Fusible PVC Meets Challenge of Restricted Right-of-Way

by Mark Garlick and Brian McDowell

Like many small municipal water authorities, the Beech Creek Borough Authority in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, is always looking for ways to increase their revenues. Great product - I hear they have over 1 million feet in operation. I'm trying to find project to pilot it on in my area (Idaho).

The more people know about Fusible PVC™ pipe products, the more rate-payers will be able to save money in these hard times.

This Fusible PVC pipe is showing up all over Northern California and Nevada. I have used it for water and fire main installations via HDD and Open Cut. UGSI's claims of lower installed project costs and material compatibility are spot on! In fact on one recent project Fusible PVC saved the owner on average $170/LF when compared to the specified alternative HDPE. This is the pipe of the future, just amazing.

Finally, we can go trenchless with introducing weird sizes in our water systems. Fusible PVC allows us to restore harmony to our infrastructures systems by using a standard pipe material with which our maintenance crews are comfortable.
